Dylan Kay - Skype Guitar Lessons

Books

Here are some music books I have found helpful and inspiring over the years:

"The Advancing Guitarist" Mick Goodrick
Mick's other books on chords are incredible too:
"Almanac of Guitar Voice-Leading" vols 1-3

"An Improviser's OS" Wayne Krantz
A wonderful insight into practising true improvisation.

2 great books by Berklee teacher Jon Damian
"The Guitarist's Guide to Composing and Improvising"
"The Chord Factory"

"Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns" Nicolas Slonimsky

"Harmonic Mechanisms Vols 1-3" George Van Eps
A masterwork, requiring years of dedicated study and full of incredible material.

"The Music Lesson" Victor Wooten
Says so much that needs to be said... Not your conventional music book!

"Principles of Music" Bryan Baker
Refreshingly unique look at improvising and composing. Wonderful.

"How to Improvise" Hal Crook
Way beyond the "lick book" approach to "improvising", this is brilliantly thought out...
